There were also temples and public baths, and in many buildings there was running water. There were bakeries, restaurants and even a hotel in the city. In 79 AD, the eruption of Vesuvius destroyed Pompeii.
Europeans arrived on the continent, which they called America. They hunted, fished and traded on canoes. Men hunted for buffalo and defended the tribe. Women built houses.
